An historian (Robert Cummings) and his horse loving wife (Barbara Stanwyck) have problems with their marriage which is complicated by him being getting caught several times kissing an attractive younger woman (Diana Lynn) her having an admirer, that finally leads to divorce. This is a witty romancic comedy with some elements of farce. The script is good but it is the performance of Barbara Stanwyck that really makes the film and shows off her comic ability and her ability to give a look that says more than any words. Natalie Wood appears a young child.
