Comment
A beautiful woman (Barbara Payton) is married to an older man (Paul Cavanagh) who owns a plantation in the jungle, but having an affair with the rugged foreman (Raymond Burr) and being admired by the suave local doctor (Tom Conway). The husband and lover get into an argument and the lover allows the husband to be killed by a snake bite. This is witnessed by one of the local servants who gets her revenge by giving him poison that makes him think he is turning into a gorilla that is the killer beast of local legend. This is not a great creature feature and there is a lack of spark between Barbara Payton and Raymond Burr, that reflects a flat and static direction.
