A new governor of Jamaica arrives with a mission to rid the Spanish Main of pirates. This is a swashbuckling adventure of pirates and at the same time Maureen O'Hara changes from animosity to love for Tyrone Power. There are some good fight scenes but it is the chemistry and sexual tension between Tyrone Power and Maureen O'Hara that carries the film.
