Volcanic activity in Mexico unleashes giant scorpions and a pair of scientists have to find a way to stop them. The plot is not original being a variation of other creature films of this period. Mara Corday is the female rancher and romantic interest. The stop motion animation of the scorpions was produced by Willis O'Brien and are the best part of the film which was a joint Mexican and American production.
