Tippi Hedren goes to visit Rod Taylor and his mother (Jessica Tandy) in a small seaside town. However as soon as she arrives a bird attacks someone and then more and more arrive and attack more people. This is a classic Alfred Hitchcock drama of small town being terrorised by a flock of birds. The film is based on the novel by Daphne Du Maurier. This was Tippi Hedren's first film role. Unusually there is no incidental music through the film just the sound effects.
