Billy Crudup's father (Albert Finney) is a teller of tall tales all through his life. Having not spoken to his father for years he visits him when he is dying. Albert Finney recounts his life as a series of outrageous stories with Ewan McGegor playing him as a young man. Tim Burton has created an a visually impressive and at times comic film, but at the same time strange and bizzare in parts as well. The film benefits from a strong cast.
