Lucille Ball playing herself is invited to a military academy prom by one of the boys as her date and she accepts as her agent things it would be a way of restarting her career. The plot is thin and pretty much nonsense and is based on the Broaday musical. The film shows its stage roots and the dance numbers are not the best. It is a film that would ahve played well when released in 1943, but not so much today.
