A gang of bank robbers are due to be hanged but are rescued by the leader's (Dean Martin) brother (James Stewart) and they escape to Mexico with a woman (Raquel Welch) and chased by the sheriff and a posse. Once in Mexico they have shoot outs with the posse and Mexican bandits. James Stewart starts the film doing a good impersonation of a hangman. Dean Martin brings a light touch to what is a violent film and Raquel Welch has little in the way of acting to do.
