Comment/Synopsis

A group of professors writing an encyclopedia have life disrupte by the arrival of a gangster moll. The academics have lived alone for so long they have lost touch with the real world. When Barbara Stanwyck arrives hiding from the police she disrupts thei lives with her worldly views and feminine charms. The entertaining performace is from Barbara Stanwyck which gave her the second Oscar nomination. The plot is a little silly but Barbara Stanwyck makes the film worth watching. This is a good examples of the screwball comedy sub-genre of films.
