After she is dumpded by her boyfriend, teacher Cameron Diaz competes with fellow teache Lucy Punch for the affections of the new teacher at the school (Justin Timberlake) whilst rejecting the advances of gym teacher Jason Segel. When she discovers there is a bonus for being the best teacher she turns from being a slacker to a keen teacher.
