This is the prequel to the Aurora Teagarden series of films and is set when Aurora returns home after college and meets up with the main characters from the original series. Her best friend is about to get married but then her fiance becomes the prime suspect in a murder, so Aurora has to find the real murderer. The original sreies revolved around the performance of Candace Cameron Bure, so this is more harder to relate to the characters. Marilu Henner as the mother is the only actor that appears from the original series.
