An astronomer (Charlie Sheen) picks a signal from outerspace and promptly gets sacked when he tells his boss. He uses several satellite dishes to find the signal again and finds that it appears to have links to Mexico. He goes there and meets another scientist (Lindsay Crouse) who has discovered a rapid increase in global temperatures. As people stop them trying to investigate it appears that there are extraterestrials already on earth. Meanwhile he becomes increasingly estranged from his grlfriend (Teri Polo). This is a reasonably good aliens invade earth in an undercover way film.
