Comment/Synopsis
A train comes into a station, stops and passnegers get off and on the train in this iconic film from early cinema. The image of the train coming towards the camera and hence towards the audience is the first famous scene in cinema history. The framing and motion make this film significant. It is also the source of the myth that people were so frightened by the train coming towards them that they ran away.
