Comment
A woman (Bette Davis) murders her husband only to find the man he robbed a bank with (Gary Merrill) arrives at her isolated house. As they reluctantly agree to work together to dispose of the body their situation is complicated by the arrival of several visitors including her secretary and her fiancé, with whom Bette Davis is having an affair. There is a good performance from Bette Davis as the woman concerned only with herself, with good support from her then real life fourth husband Gary Merrill.
