A man (Walter Brennan) is about to be lynched for killing the son of a rancher when he is taken into custody by a US marshall (Kirk Douglas). They have to travel across the desert with his daughter (Virginia Mayo) to bring him to trial and they are chased by the ranchers. This is a solid western with good performances from Kirk Douglas and Virginia Mayo.
