An Austrian intielligence agent (Gilbert Roland) helps a beautiful woman (Constance Bennett) escape Paris and flee to Austria. Once there he is giving the job of finding a Russian spy whilst falling in love with the woman, little knowing that she is the spy. This is an old fashioned spy film with messages being sent in invisible ink, but it is the performance of Constance Bennett that is the highlight of anotherwise average film with a contrived plot. She brings beauty and elegance to what is a dark military film. The film made a loss for RKO and was the last Constance Bennett made for them.
