Jewel Carmen was an actress in silent films. She started working with Mack Sennett at Keystone films. She signed for Fox Film Corporation in 1917 but after a year tried to get out of the contract and was involved in a lawsuit against them. She married Roland West in 1918 and only appeared in a handful of films after this. Her final film role was in The Bat in 1926. She was involved in the scandal surrounding the death of Thelma Todd. Jewel Carmen's husband was having an affair with Thelma Todd at the time and she died from car fumes in the garage of their house.
