Leonard Nimoy was an American actor whose career was defined by his performance of the iconic character Mr Spock in the classic television series Star Trek. The pointed eared half human / half vulcan character became one of the most recognisable characters on television. He seemed to have an ambivolent attitiude to his character as his first autobiography was I am not Spock and his second was I am Spock. In his later career he moved into directing (Three Men And A Baby) as well as actng.
