The Ziegfeld Follies were a series of stage revues and this is an all star film version with some of the top stars of the 1940's. The song and dance numbers of show off the talents of the stars against some lavish sets and costumes, but the comedy routines show their age. This was MGM pictures showcasing their talent to good effect.
