This is the prequel to the previous X-Mens films set during the Cold War as Russia builds up nuclear weapons on Cuba. The young mutants are discovering their powers and are torn into two factions either supporting or opposing separation from normal humans. This film does a good job in desribing how how the characters in the other films have got to where they are, with good performances from James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Rose Byrne, . Actors
