In France during World War 1, a British officer (George Barraud) falls in love with a French dancer and singer (Betty Compson). They plan to marry but he is sent back to the front, is injured and loses any memory of her. Several years later he is married to a woman (Juliette Compton) who is a social climber and organises a concert at which the woman performs and he then remembers who she is and finds that he is the father of her son. This is a good film that deals with the classic love triangle. George Barraud is the staid British man caught between his emotional French lover and and his cold, scheming upwardly mobile wife. The strength of the film is the performance from Betty Compson, even though her French accent is not the best.
