When scientists discover that a planet is due to destroy earth, a group of scientists set out to build a spaceship to take a small group of people to a planet to continue the existence of humans. This is a good early 1950's sci-fi film that focuses on the characters and the race against time to build the spaceship. Whilst some of science is dated, overall the film is effective for the time it was made.
