An unassuming man (Kenneth Connor) who is a proof reader by trade is suddenly told that is uncle has died and he has to attend the reading of the will at a remote Yorkshire mansion. He takes his bookmaker friend (Sidney James) with him and once there they are told they will inherit nothing, but as the night progresses the relatives are being killed off one by one. This is an entertaining British comedy / murder mystery with fun performances from Sidney James and Kenneth Connor and good support from Donald Pleasence as the solicitor and Shirley Eaton as the love interest. This is not a classic and the plot has been used many times, but it is fun for the early 1960's.
