A recently widowed man (Matt Damon) buys up a run down zoo in an attempt to escape his grief. His family have mixed views on the move, but he is supported by the attractive professional zoo keeper (Scarlett Johansson). This is a typical family comedy film with a gentle under current of romance. The best performance is from Scarlett Johansson as the passionate zoo keeper who also has feelings for the family and there is also a good performance from a young Elle Fanning as the love interest to the son. This is not a great film, but is a pleasant Sunday afternoon watch.
