A widow and her daughter are being evicted by the evil associate of the owner of the their house but then she marries the owner, but the associate still tries to upset them by turning him to drink. This is a curious film in that it is in the melodramatic style of a silent film from earlier in Edward F Cline's career. Buster Keaton is underused in not one of his better films.
