Comment/Synopsis
A woman (Jessie Matthews) runs away from her arranged marriage. On a train she is robbed and accused of stealing by a stranger (Owen Nares). Although he does not believe her, he agrees to hide her overnight at his flat, but things get complicated when his fiance (Carol Goodner) turns up and then later she is mistaken for his fiance. Although the plot is silly, this is an entertaining farce that is made by a great performance from Jessie Matthews as the woman avoiding marriage but finding love. The plot line lies underneath the Frank Kapra It Happened One Night.
