Comment/Synopsis
The wife of a professional gambler files for divorce as she cannot cope with his lifestyle. At the point where he agrees to give up gambling and go away with her his brother arrives looking for a big game to get money for an investment. He has to try and prevent the brother going down the same route. This is a good early sound film with a good performance from William Powell in the lead role and a good early performance from Kay Francis, although she has a comparatively small role, but her class is clear. There is good support from Regis Toomey as the brother.
