A young upper class woman (Georgina Cates) lives with her aunt (Prunella Scales) and her brother (Samuel West) tries to pair her off with his friend but she has feeling for one of the local peasants (Sean Pertwee). The aunt takes them off Italy and then India where all sorts of complex relationships develop. This is a comic take on a range of period drama's (not least A Room With A View, A Passage To India and Brideshead Revisited) and provided you know the films beiing sent up this is very funny
