The new first officer (Liv Tyler) arrives on a space station in an alternative reality where it is like our 1976. She has to deal with some dysfunctional characters and asteroids. This is not traditional sci-fi, but more a study of people rying to survive in an isolated environment. The comedy is dark and subtle, but the main character interest the comparisson of the three main female leads, with Liv Tyler as the female professional, Marisa Coughlan as the mother in therapy with a robit dispensing Valium and Kali Rocha as the bored housewife. If you remember 1970's sci-fi television series, then watch the sets.
