During World War 2 a bomb disposal expext is brought in to work out how to diffuse bobby trapped bombs being dropped by the Germans, against a background of him coping with the loss of his leg and dealing with the pain through drugs and alcohol and him struggling to maintain a relationship with his girlfriend.
