A banker wants to own the skyscraper he works in using any means whilst around him other people's desire for love and riches are affected by his desires. William Warren is the womanising banker who will use and abuse anyone to get his way. There is a good performance from Verree Teasdale as his assitant who is in love with him but strung along as he claims his wife (Hedda Hopper) wil not give him a divorce. Maureen O'Sullivan and Anita Page are women working in the build whose lives and loves are complicated by Wiliam Warren's underhand deals. The plot is a bit shaky in places but does have a nice twist at the end and throws a light on people's desire for wealth and what they will do to obtain it.
