An innocent young couple (Susan Sarandon and Bary Bostwick) break down in their car. When they ask to use the phone at the nearby castle they are drawn into a strange world run by a transexual Transylvanian (Tim Curry). This has become a cult film of the stage musical, that is part horror, part sci-fi, part comedy, part musical and is not to everyone's taste. This is an interesting film with a good sound track, although taste is probably not a word to apply to this film, but there are good performances from Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Richard O'Brian. .
