A man (Ray Barrett) and his wife (Jennifer Daniel) inherit a country cottage after his brother dies. The locals tell them to sell and leave, but they stay and find that people are mysteriously dying in the village. This is a good Hammer film that builds the suspense well. It has less gore than most Hammer films and includes a strong performance from Jacqueline Pearce as the woman who turns into a reptile, in a role before she appeared in Blakes 7.
