Kate Hudson is a young, single, ambitious woman who becomes the guardian to the three children of her sister who is killed in a car crash. Her stuggle to become a parent leads her to get fired from her job as Helen Mirren's assistant, meets john Corbett who is a priest and head of the childrens school and gets a job working for used car salesman Hector Elizondo. She struggles to come to terms with the responsilites of parenthood and the effect on her lifestyle, as well as pressure from her older sister (Joan Cusack). This film has a good cast and basic plot but it needs more humour and the characters would benefit from a bit more complexity.
