Comment
A young woman from rural France in the late 1950's applies for the job as a secretary for a lawyer in a nreaby town. Whilst not being very good as a secretary, she does have a talent to be able to type very fast albeit with two fingers. He takes her in as a protege and trains her to become France champion speed typist and then compete for the world champioship. This is a modern take on the classic 1950's style rom-coms. The plot may be predictable but it is a well wrttien and acted piece of gentle comic entertainment. There is a wonderful performance from Deborah Francois as the innocent thrust into the limelight discovering herself and the world and men and love. There is good support from Romain Duris as theman pushing her to acheive and Berenice Bejo as his life long friend. As a French language film this is less well known that it should be given the quality of the production and the acting.
