A doctor (Joanna Going) taks her sister (Rose McGowan) back to her home town, only to find that everyone in the town is dead or missing. There are strange noises and events which continue when three policemen arrive. The FBI suspect that somthing more sinister is going on and bring in an occult reasearche (Peter O'Toole) to help stop what is happening. The first half has the suspense as Joanna Going and Rose mcGowan are eing stalked by the creature and the second half is more action as Ben Affleck and Peter O'Toole take on the creature.Whilst this is not a great horror film the pace and the suspense is good and the cast give good performances.
