Comment/Synopsis
The lives of a group of apartment residents are disrupted when a married man end sup bringing a woman with a drink problem back to his flat. She collapses and he thinks she is dead so put the body on the balcony of his neighbour who wants to put his down. However she is not dead and this leads to all sorts of comic situations. This is a wonderfully entertaining screwball comedy. George Brent gives a solid performance that the film revolves around, but there are good performances from the female leads of Virginia Mayo and Carole Landis. However it is Ann Dvorak that steals many scenes as the alcoholic woman who is either annoyingly charming or appearing to be a corpse. Here Ann Dvorak is cast against type in a comic role which she delivers well.
