Ron Livingstone is fed up with his job in a cubicle of an IT firm and with his girl friend. When their hypnotist (Mike McShane) dies in the middle a session he is left with no worries about life. He dumps his girlfriend, starts an affair with a waitress (Jennifer Aniston) and develops a totally laid back attitude to work. As the company brings in consultants to down size the company his attitude ironically marks him for promotion. When two of his friends are sacked, they plan revenge on the company. This is an entertaining comedy that sends up the corporate business life.
