Comment/Synopsis This is Werner Herzog's version of the Dracula story who in his search for Lucy bring with him a swarm of rats and the palgue. In many places the film reflects the earlier silent Nurnau/Max Schreck version. Parts of the film are beautifully shot with parts almost being filmed like a silent black and white film, but in colour and with sound. Klaus Kinski plays Dracula in a way that parallels Max Schreck's version but also brings a sense of forboding to the parts
