A surgeon (Peter Lorre) who loves an actress (Frances Drake) discovers that she is married to a pianist (Colin Clive) and when the pianist is in a train accident the doctor transplants the hands of criminal knife thrower, but with unexpected consequences. Peter Lorre gives a suitably creepy performance made more so with his obsession for the actress and the waxwork statue he has of her.
