Ralph Bates runs a finishing school for girls next to a castle that belongs to a family of vampires who return every 40 years for more prey. A would be writer gets a job as a teacher at the school only to find one of the girls is a reincarnation of one of the vampires and is killing off people in the local village and the school. This is not one of the betteer films from the Hammer studio. It has men lusting after young women and some lesbian scenes giving it a slightly sordid feel. Iit lacks any real plot and the main characters are weak and flat. Suzanna Leigh as the wistle blowing teacher does the best with the material available.
