An actor (Leslie Howard) who has a tumultuous relationship with his co-star (Bette Davis) discovers tht one of his fans (Olivia de Haviland) has fallen in love with him and so he agrees with her boyfriend to play the cad to her so she will go back to her boyfriend. This is a very entertaining comedy. Leslie Howard and Bette Davis make a good comedy couple, whilst Olivia de Haviland plays the beautiful foil. It is however Eric Blore as the valet who steals all the scenes that he appears in. Although Howard, Davis and de Haviland were not known for their comedy films, they do show their comic tlents in this film.
