A woman (Judy Holliday) becaomes famous after putting her name on giant billboards. As she becomes famous for being famous she is romanced by a would be film maker (Jack Lemmon) and a wealthy businessman (Peter Lawford) who drags her into advertising for his company. Judy Holliday gives a good performance in the lead and this was Jack Lemmon's first film role. This is George Cukor's satire on the lure of fame and the influence of advertising.
