Comment
In the future, climate change leads to drought and famine on earth. However a secret organisation has been preparing a trip in to space and they send a space ship through a worm hole to look for a new planet for humans to live on. The story follows the adventures of those on the mission and those left behind as time dilation means those on the mission age much slower than those left on earth. The plot starts off well, but towards the ends gets over convoluted and philosophical for its own good. There are some visually impressive set piece action scenes, but overall it does not hang together well despite the performances from Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. This is one of those disappointing films that could have better given the talent and money involved with the film.
