The son of Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon goes missing from the army base after his team returns from active duty in Iraq. The body is found cut up and burnt. Tommy Lee Jones tries to find out what happened with the help of local police woman Charlize Theron as they battle Jason Patrick and the military. This film has a good premise but the film is too slow and there is not enough plot to maintain interest. The highlight of the film is the performance from Charlize Theron that is different to her other films but Susan Sarandon is very underused as the boy's mother.
