Winona Ryder is engaged to be married and having her third attempt to complete her masters degree but starts having doubts and so returns to stay with her grandmother and aunt for the summer. As they and their quilt making friends reminisce over their lives, Winona Ryder learns about the loves and traumas of the relationships within her family and their friends. This is a good piece of story telling and a sympathetically produced film. The director allows the very good cast freedom to express their characters in this character studies of lives in small town America
