Three skydivers plying their trade across small town America end up staying in a town in Kansas with the aunt of one of them. Whilst there, one of tthem (Gene Hackman) has a one night stand with a dancer and one of them (Burt Lancaster) starts a doomed relationship with the married woman (Deborah Kerr) they are staying with. The highlight of the film is the skydiving sequences which are well filmed for the late 1960's.
