Robin Williams plays a DJ on the American forces radio in Vietnam, who brings his own brand of humour to the airways, to the amusement of the troops but not his superiors. THis film was a very different take and view of the Vietnam war compared to other made at the time. The performance from Robin Williams shows off not just his acting skills but also his stan-up / improvisation skills.
