Comment
After living all her life in an orphanage a naive young woman (Margaret Sullavan) is sent out into the world after being told to do a good deed each day. This gets her into problems when she tells a a rich business man (Frank Morgan) who is making advances to her that she is married so she picks a name out of the phone book and says he (Herbert Marshall) is her husband. This leads her into all sorts of comic situations. There is a very good performance from Margaret Sullavan is the lead role which is helped by a strong, pacy and comic script from Preston Sturges. This is an entertaining film that has quick fire dialogue.
