In the lead up to the second world war Romola Garai is the adopted daughter of a wealthy and influencial family who discovers that the family are involved in the appeasement movement and this discovery leads to the death of a friend and her life is put in danger. This has an impressive cast of British actors and mixes the location of rural Norfolk and London.
